Agustín Alcoleas is the Head Winemaker at Casarena Bodega y Viñedos and Mythic wines, located in Mendoza's renowned Luján de Cuyo region. His passion for winemaking was ignited during childhood visits to wineries with his godfather, a winery owner and consultant. This early exposure led him to pursue oenological studies at Juan Agustín Maza University. Alcoleas has since gained extensive experience in prominent wine regions, including Sonoma (California), Provence, and Saint-Émilion (France), and has traveled to Italy, Spain, Chile, and Uruguay to refine his expertise. He specialises in crafting high-end, terroir-driven wines and has been involved in the production of such wines for over a decade.

In January 2024, Alcoleas joined Casarena, bringing over 15 years of experience in notable wineries across Argentina, France, and the United States. Alcoleas's meticulous attention to detail and commitment to understanding the vineyard as the starting point of great wine align seamlessly with Casarena's philosophy of producing elegant and powerful wines that reflect their origin.
