Only 3,600 bottles of this Malbec are produced, from hand-picked fruit, indigenous yeast fermentation and up to 24 months ageing in exceptional Burgundian oak sourced through his connection with Armand Rousseau.

Founder Gordes Frobenius was born in Japan to a French mother and German father, where a deep appreciation for precision and the relentless pursuit of quality shaped his philosophy. After a successful career in international finance, he followed his passion for wine, training under legendary Burgundian producers Domaine Armand Rousseau and Henri Germain, before gaining experience with Felton Road, Timo Mayer and other leading Australasian wineries.

Today, Gordes brings this unique blend of Japanese precision, French tradition and Australian terroir to every bottle of 1683 Wines.
